What I Wore This Week: September 30th – October 7th
Another week of outfits aaaaaand I’m still wearing sandals every day I can before it gets too cold out. I’m the type that will hold off on wearing boots till the last minute- the cold will be around long enough to enjoy boot wearing! So we’ll get there when we get there.
For this outfit, I took my favorite Reformation dress and turned it into a top instead! Don’t worry, I didn’t cut it, I just folded it up so it would tuck in. This style hack works best if its a thinner shorter dress since you have way less fabric to tuck in.
I’ve wanted this Sézane tank for quite some time but had a hard time wanting to commit to the $90 price tag for one tank, but I was kindly gifted a few pieces from them so I finally got to try one out. It’s 100% silk and it has a good weight to it. It’s not too thin so it doesn’t feel like you’re wearing lingerie if it’s worn solo (if ya know what I mean).
I’m going to be wearing this all year since silk works so well when it comes to layering. It keeps you warm and doesn’t add too much bulk! Did you know that silk is naturally insulating? Silk tanks are a big staple for me, especially in the cooler months since I’ll wear one under my sweaters and it will keep me so much warmer.
Everlane just came out with a new line called ReCashmere that includes a few different sweaters that are all made with recycled cashmere. They use 60% recycled cashmere and 40% wool and definitely not itchy at all! I went with the cardigan version and lately I’ve been wearing cardigans tucked in as a regular top! Check out this post that I did that shows you three ways to style a cardigan!
Wearing a new favorite pair of wide-leg pants form Tribe Alive (gifted). The fabric is a thicker speckled off-white denim that has a good amount of structure but is still very comfortable. And a bonus! They are made from 100% up-cycled denim that uses less water and dye than traditional manufacturing processes.
