Everlane Review: What’s New – Fall 2019

Everlane is clearly my favorite sustainable brand and they have been coming out with some amazing fall pieces lately. Since I’m an affiliate with them I get to choose a few items each month to try out so I feel like I owe you my honest opinion to better help you make your decision!

I’m slacking a little when it comes to writing up these reviews, so here are August and September’s picks all in one post.

The Glove Boot ReKnit

As someone who has very wide and very small feet (yes they are as cute as they sound) I almost wish I sized down. I ordered my true Everlane size 5.5. Since they are so stretchy, your foot can move around pretty freely. I’d recommend those with narrow feet to definitely size down!

The heel is the perfect height that makes me feel fancy but I can also walk in these all day! Most Everlane shoes need time to break them in, but since these are not leather they are already broken in. I will also say that I have never tried a pair of Everlane shoes that were uncomfortable. They are my #1 spot for shoes, seriously!

Texture Cotton Cropped Cardigan

I have already worn this one a few times since receiving it and it’s just such a good classic piece to have in your closet. I ordered the XXS and I might try washing and drying to see if I can get it to shrink a tad.

I have the older version in black, which got a lot of use last year. My only complaint is that it does have a little acrylic to it but I honestly don’t even notice! Though I do wish it was 100% cotton.

I did a little review on this cardigan VS. the BabaĆ  in case you want to check that out!

The Cheeky Bootcut Jean

For a while I honestly didn’t love the Everlane denim. I found the high rise styles too low for my taste. Despite being a very petite person, I do have a longer torso so some high rises are just not that high on me.

I decided to give them another shot when I saw the Cheeky coming out last month and I’m glad I did! They have a good high rise and IMO, the denim has improved since they first launched Damn Good Denim a few years ago! I think I’ll be ordering the same pair in the light wash. I have actually moved up a size in their denim so I’ve been ordering the 25 now instead of 24.

What I’m sending back and why

Wide Leg Jean

I was able to get a pair (size 25) of these when Everlane first dropped their wide-leg denim which was a limited quantity release and I love them to death. So naturally, when they released these I wanted to try them to compare.

Unfortunately when I was ordering them I didn’t see the ankle-length and had to end up getting the regular, which is just too long for my 5-foot self. I also wanted the light wash and got the medium by accident so I’m going to switch and try out that version instead!

One thing that is a major difference with the new denim wide legs is the front pockets. I don’t find these particular pockets to be super flattering, especially if you are more curvy (they tend to just stick out). I’m not 100% convinced I will love these when I make the switch but we will see!

Corduroy Chore Jacket

I knew folks on the IG were going to go crazy for this jacket so I decided to try the Navy one out in XS since I wanted a looser fit. The chore jacket trend has been popular for a while and corduroy is always a popular fall + winter fabric (I just love the texture) but this one just wasn’t for me.

I felt that the neat pocket details got lost in the Navy, so maybe the Golden Brown or Bone would have been better. But I think this piece is just a bit too casual for my liking so I’m sending it back.
