Everlane Review: The ReCashmere Line

New this month from Everlane is a new line of Cashmere Sweaters called ReCashmere. I’ve been loving Everlane’s “ReNew” lines they’ve been doing a lot lately, They are truly setting such a good example (IMO) of how to be a sustainable brand!

Some “ReNew” Lines that I’m loving

So what is ReCashmere exactly?

The ReCashmere line is made from premium Italian yarn that’s been recycled for 50% less impact—that means it’s just as soft and beautiful as our 100% Grade-A cashmere, but with half the carbon footprint.” -Everlane

All sweaters are a blend of 60% recycled Cashmere and 40% wool (some wool is the non-mulesed, extra-fine merino wool)

Currently, they offer four different ReCashmere sweater styles including:

I was gifted the ReCashmere Cardigan in the heathered sand color to test out so I wanted to give you a little review.

Is it itchy?

Not at all! My skin is somewhat sensitive to wool and my theory is since the cashmere (which is already crazy soft in the first place) is re-spun it makes it even softer. I don’t have any scientific proof on this but it makes sense to me!

Fits true to size?

I’ve been ordering one size up lately since I’ve been liking a looser more causal fit. I typically order the smaller XXS but decided to try out the XS and I love the fit and would say it runs true to size.

All in all, I’m happy with the ReCashmere line and I’m excited to see more of Everlane’s ReNew pieces!
