I have been a fan of Everlane for a few years now so I was super excited when they came out with a denim line. Not only are priced at a pretty affordable $68, but their denim ends up using the lowest amount of water during production than any other jean; which is pretty awesome! When they came out I went ahead and purchased three pairs of the “High Rise Skinny Jean” in the ankle length. I got them in black, mid blue, and dark indigo.
The fabric on these is great; I like a stiff jean that holds its shape and doesn’t bag out. These are really a great affordable staple and my only complaint for this jean in general is that they doesn’t sit as high as I like my jeans to sit!
These are the ones I end up wearing the most to work, since they do not stretch out and are very comfortable! I did poke a hole in the back pocket with my keys which I haven’t done with any other pair of jeans so I’m not sure if it’s the weave of the denim or just a freak accident.
So I ended up selling these guys on eBay, I originally got all 3 in a size 24 since the smallest size of their wide leg crop (I’ll do a review on those soon) was way too big so I assumed the smallest size would be the right size but I was wrong! These pants mostly run true to size. However, for some reason the lighter washes run on the larger side IMO. I wish I stuck with the 24 in the light wash since they ended up being super baggy on me at the end on the day.
I got a size 25 and it fits great. I’m not usually a fan of super-stretch jeans but I found that the regular Everlane denim was not super comfy for bending down and I do that a lot at my everyday job. I often end up stocking at my job (Manager at an Organic Grocery store) and I’m constantly bending down and these make working so much easier! They are the perfect super skinny jeans for the working gal!
