This years guide is a bit different and more like how I do my gifts IRL
You see, I’m a practical gift giver, I like to give my friends or family something I know the will use and love. Sometimes thats a consumable, an experience, or a really nice gift that I know they will cherish.
This guide is a mix of all of those and since you know I love to support small businesses which is something that is super important right now, I have listed my favorite picks from some of my favorite small brands.
*Disclaimer, a few of these suggestions are sponsored (I only say yes to brands I love!) and some are affiliate links in which I earn a small commission off of and those being brands that I’ve worn + tested & love! I even have a few discount code for you which is always helpful to save a little extra $$$ during the holidays!
The Planet Care filter catches 90% of harmful microfibers that shed from synthetic fabric, before they flow into the waste water!
– easy-to-install on any washing machine – users get reusable cartridges that they replace every 15-20 washes – the only solution with a completely closed-loop: users simply send the used cartridges back, without cleaning the fibers! PlanetCare will professionally remove and repurpose the caught fibers, as well as refurbish cartridges for future use. That way we make sure no microfibers get released into the environment.
Sometimes the right gift is something extra special and shiny.
Luna & Rose uses a closed loop production and all of their jewelry uses either recycled gold or 99% recycled sterling silver. Their product line is zero waste since they are able to recycle any damaged or unsold stock and turn it into something new!
I was sent their MANO AMIGA Necklace in gold which I’ve been wearing nonstop since I received it. If you know me you know I have a thing for hand pieces and knew I had to have this when I saw it!
You know I love my Thinx and what a better gift for a friend! I have a full blog post all about Thinx if you need which you can find HERE. And as always I have a $10 off code so you can save a little on your purchase!

(see above image for evidence!) For the dog (Hank) we will be getting him a pack on the Calming Biscuits since he is a bit hyper 100% of the time.
We also like to keep a bag of dog treats at out vintage shop Carpenter Studio so we have something to offer our furriest customers!

Gifts the give back
Looking for gift ideas that have a social impact while also provide a great gift to a friend or loved one?
Adaire Fox-Martin, SAP Executive Board Member and social enterprise ambassador, has curated a socially conscious gifting guide. A favorite on my list is Dean’s Beans, they are 100% organic and work with farmers across the world to create new and sustainable methods to use on their farms. IMO the best gift you can give is good coffee. Bonus when it’s a company that gives back making this the gift that keeps giving!

Plan a FaceTime date and make you favorite cocktail (or mocktail) and just spend time talking! If you have more time plan a movie date and watch the same film together remotely.
Socially Distanced Picnic
Pick up your favorite meal from a local small business and head to a park and share a meal while keeping your distance, of course! Alternatively buy them a gift card to their favorite restaurant so they can enjoy a meal on you!
