I’ve taken a deep dive into the world of 90’s fashion which led me to make this particular purchase. A leopard print slip dress, honestly something I never imagined I would ever own. But ohh how many outfit combinations I have come up with for this simple piece!
You can apply these styling ideas to any plain or printed slip dress you have and the possibilities are endless. How I love multi-functioning pieces!
I’ve come up with 15 ways to style this dress, I hope you love them as much as I do!
A Dress!

Okay, I had to! This simple slip dress looks good as is. Worn with my fav Marais shoes that I got for $100 off Depop!

As a Top
Since slip dresses are very thin they are great for tucking in! Simple fold in half on the inside. This will make it much easier to tuck in.
Wear it with denim

Or Wide-Leg Pants

Or Mix Prints

I love how the plaid + leopard look together! A surprising fun and creative way to mix prints! You could even do gingham, polka dot, or stripes!
Try it With Shorts

To keep your shirts in place when wearing overalls wear tights or a high waisted underwear! They will stay in place and be way less annoying!

Who new I would one day wear fishnets?
With a Button-Up

You can wear a button up over or under a slip dress. Try tying it at the waist or wearing one underneath for some added warmth. I rolled the sleeves on this modern button up and paired it with my vintage Mary Janes.

Worn with the Power Of My People “The Friend” linen blouse. I tied it at the waist for a more cropped look. I will defiantly be repeating this look a ton this summer!
If you are looking for that perfect linen button up I definitely suggest Power Of My People! My readers get 20% off with code JESSWITHLESS. I have the size XXS for reference.
A note on buying new linen: I find that linen tends to be stiff at first so I like to wash mine (this brand is machine washable) and let it air dry. Then I toss it in the dryer for just 5 minutes to soften it up (not longer since it can shrink) This helps you achieve that “worn in, I’m never taking this off” look.
As a Skirt

You could make a million looks by layering. Wear it with a tee, a long sleeve, a sweater, mix prints, the possibilities are endless.

winterize it
The slip dress doesn’t have to just be for the warmer months. Add a pair of tights (maybe two!) and a jacket to keep you warm.

Thanks for reading, I had a ton of fun coming up with these looks!
